Entinen Slipknot-rumpali, myös Murderdollsista, Scar The Martyrsista, Vimicistä ja Sinsaenumista tuttu Joey Jordison menehtyi maanantaina 26. heinäkuuta. Jordison oli kuollessaan 46-vuotias.
Slipknot-leirissä reagoitiin bändin perustajajäsenen ja entisen rumpalin kuolinuutiseen vaihtamalla yhtyeen some-kanavien profiili- ja kansikuvat mustiksi. Myös yhtyeen laulaja Corey Taylor, perkussionisti Shawn ”Clown” Crahan sekä kitaristi Jim Root ovat vaihtaneet omien tiliensä profiili- ja kansikuvat mustiksi.
Lisäksi monet muusikkokollegat ja ystävät ovat reagoineet Jordisonin kuolinuutiseen julkaisemalla osanottojaan ja muistokirjoituksia sosiaalisessa mediassa. Jordisonia ovat muistaneet muun muassa Dave Lombardo, Mike Portnoy, Hatebreedin Jamey Jasta, Machine Headin Robb Flynn, Rob Zombie, Triviumin Matt Heafy, Anthraxin Charlie Benante ja Scott Ian sekä Fear Factoryn Dino Cazares. Jordisonia on muistettu myös muun muassa Metallican, Morbid Angelin, Sacred Reichin ja Ministryn some-kanavissa.
